In a Celtic language, if someone needs to know which one exactly I'd say the Irish Gaelic.

Thank you.

  1. In Irish Gaelic:

    gaiste - a trap

gaiste a chur - to set a trap

  2. Here you go:

    Scottish and Irish Gaelic:  gaisde

Manx Gaelic: bac (like a snag or obstacle) or ribbey (snare, pitfall)

  3. In Irish:

trap = gaiste  (this is the noun)

trap = gaistigh  (this is the verb)

(gaisde is wrong for both Irish and Scots)

  4. Gaisde
