Sage.....as in a hermit, a wise person

Optimistic.....meaning a believer in philosophical optimism

Sharp Eye.....means to have sight like a hawk

Open-mind

Yoshino.....a type of tree, it might also be called SomeiYoshino

What does the kanji look like & how is it pronounced please?

  1. sage: 賢者 (kana: けんじゃ, romaji: kenja)

    optimistic: 暢気 (kana: のんき, romaji: nonki)

    sharp eye: 佳な視力 (kana: かなしりょく, romaji: ka na shiryoku, literally "good eyesight")

    open mind: 多孔の心 (kana: たこうのしん, romaji: takou no shin, literally "open mind")

    As for "yoshino," I found 葦登 (kana: よしのぼり, romaji: yoshinobari, a kind of fish) and 吉野時代 (kana: よしのじだい, romaji: yoshinojidai, the Yoshino Period from 1336-1392). I couldn't find anything for "Somei Yoshino," sorry.
