Question:

How do you scan documents and insert them on your computer?

I have a lexmark X3470 series. i have use it plenty of times to scan pictures with no problems but i have some document that i need to scan today then email them before five please help really important. can u please walk me threw the steps would greatly be appreciated

  1. You can scan the document the same way you scan images, and save it as a .jpg file, just like you do with images.

    Then, use this link: http://www.pdfonline.com/index.htm to change it to a .pdf document, which everybody's computer can read easily. Hit the "Convert to PDF for Free" link.

    You may have to shrink the image a bit [do that in Paint, or in the Windows Picture Viewer] since the .pdf website has a problem with really large files. It says the max is 2 MB, but I've had trouble getting smaller documents than that, if they're large, back in a timely manner. I recommend using your yahoo email address to get it back to; it works well.

    Just save the document on your hard drive, and then you can email it easily.

    I've done this at 4:45 in a sweat to get out the door by 5 and made it.
