  1. The future of the Earth is as a cold, ariless, dead world. We have already screwed the pooch.

  2. its so dark...i cant see the light

  3. Change is the law nature. World will change and it will be for betterment. Only arrogant species would deplete from earth. Homo sapience would get extinct...like dinosaurs...and thereafter...this world would be beautiful place to live. All present day problems are caused by Homo sapience

  4. A utopia through science and wisdom?  Wow you are one optimistic dude.

  5. We can, BUT WE WON'T!!! The rich get richer. I have refused to have children. It isn't going to be a good place for the common man (or woman). Too much greed, hate, and war. Global warming, new diseases, overpopulation, & pollution will soon come home to roost. Glad I won't be here to see it!

  6. Plato? Is that you?

  7. Right now, the future of the world looks like a huge Pandora's

Box.  But, at it's bottom - don't forget - there was HOPE. And,

your idea sounds like hope to me.  Good luck in your every

    endeavor.

    PEACE

  8. The future is quite dim...no seeds will be spread in the universe...

  9. If we can colonize Mars in the next 500 years, then maybe we have a chance...

Within the next 1 million years, the earth is supposed to  raise it's average temperature from about 70 to 120 degrees, making it inhospitable for human habitation after that...

  10. By 2020 war on terror is finished with or without invading Iran and NK or someone else. Good guys win. Altough it colud be planned a whole lot better. China becomes a superpower for real. Russia recuperates on the economical agenda as well. They will inforce their influence on the globe trough economy and politics not weapons .No one will do that any more, or it is less likley as the time passes by. EU will expand , slowly but surely.

2030 Brazil , Indonesia and India become big global players as well. World will enter an era of scientific race for improving technology as faster as possible, which is good. By then some serious strives to improve enviroment and africas problem of poverty and such shall be made.

World is not a rosy place but no one is lazy or crazy enhough to let it go to h**l.

  11. There must be a reason to hope. In this lunatic world how can I find a reason. I'm sorry, everything will be worse in the future. Look at the evolution of civilization, you can easily understand it.

  12. As a social scientist and a self-proclaimed mystic(!) I see that I can't "see" the future. What I've noticed about the past is that the issues of a given time or culture eventually cease to be issues at all -- A paradigm shift occurs, and everyone creates (and starts worrying about) a new set of issues. So, unless things change dramatically (and I don't think they will) , those perceived problems that have our knickers in a twist today probably won't even be remembered by our great-grandchildren.

As far as creating a universal utopia, it's good to ponder the notion that one culture's vision of heaven is often another's view of h**l.
