How do you see the the Chileans people?

just need little help in my homework on how people from all over the world, how do you see the Chileans people etc...

I lived and worked in Santiago for 3 years and don't have a single complaint about chileans. I travelled from the 4th region to the very south in Torres del Paine and found chileans to be genuinly nice, polite (they stopped at crossroads for pedestrians to walk by!) and educated. Chile is one of the best countries in Latin America in terms of Education, even public schools have the IB programme. Their universities are very good too. They have a very good health plan too.  My only concern was the number of electronic gadget people from Santiago had! I saw many people walking and talking to two cellphones at a time!

I just spent two weeks in Santiago.  The people there seemed very much like people in any large city here in the US.  They were polite if not overtly friendly.  Those I met were sincere and I sensed a strong desire to succeed, to improve whatever situation they were in.  They were rightfully proud of their beautiful country but somewhat embarrassed by the condition of the city itself.  It also seemed that the Chilenos  I was with were very suspicious of other Chilenos.  Afraid that they would be taken advantage of or ripped off.  I was surprised by the influence the United States has on the Chilean society.  I was very impressed by the effort made to ensure that we enjoyed our stay.

Chileans are very much as people have described them here. people who like to progress and are always looking forward to do more. There are of course exceptions as in any other place of the world. It is depending where you stay. If you stay in the city you will find sort of not so friendly people and more of  business type. However, if you go to the rural areas you will find different sorts of people from all backgrounds. I like their pride. They are very proud of their nation. My favorite Chilean is Pablo Neruda.

I am from Chile living in PA, USA.

We are friendly people, we like everybody but as you can see  in one of the answers here, here is rivalry with Argentina. Some chileans make fun of them, like USA makes fun of Canada.
