How do you sell wind energy??????

lets say my company has a farm of wind turbines, how do you collect and sell the electricity??

  1. Connect the wind turbines to the electric grid with wires.

    Meter the electricity going to the grid.

    Send the bill to the electric company

    Wait for the check.

In most countries; if you create wind energy on a useful scale (ie, you produce more than you require for your own use, and have surplus electrical power); you will have to be connected to the regional electricity grid; whether it is private or government owned.  Because you will be putting energy back into the grid; you will be given a credit.

    Because the way the industry is structured; you cannot go out and sell it to a user on your own (you don't have powerlines; for a start)

  4. The way I understand it is that energy you create on your property by wind  or solar is stored.  When you have reached your storage capability the power is reversed and actually heads out the power lines to your property to the nearest sub-station.  You will continue to get credits on your power bill, eventually you will be reimbursed.
