How do you send a personal check on eBay?

You send it by mail ;) I've done it before. It's really easy.

If the seller accepts personal checks, you mail it to them.  It should be stated in the listing what type of payments they accept.

First, make sure the auction details say the seller accepts personal checks.

Then send the seller a message saying you are sending the check.

A few days later, send another message asking if they've received it yet (keep the communication open).

Understand that you won't receive your item until your check is received and has cleared the bank. Personal check sales delay shipment.

You mail the check to the seller's address. They should contact you when they recieve the check. Most seller's on ebay, when dealing with personal checks, will not ship out your item until the check has cleared.

Do you know that if you send a personal check to an unscrupulous person they can take that check and wipe out your checking account by making a computerized check, using the info, and a different amount than you ever wrote it for?
