1- via bluetooth,(slow speed transfer)  

2- via USB cable,(hi speed)

3- via memory card reader (if yr phone with memory card),(hi speed)

connecting yr phone , it works as your removeable drive

& u can handle it like as yr another hard disk  partition.

i usually connect my phone to my laptop using usb cable .. copy and paste the pictures to my phone.. i sometimes use bluetooth from my laptop to my phone.. most of phones are bluetooth capable if ur computer doesnt have a bluetooth u can buy one and it doesnt cost much....
