  1. Guinness has a more complex pour than other beers, even other stouts. The right way to pour a normal beer is tilt the glass and pout, keep the head down and thats that.  Guinness is different. The pour begins by pouring about 2/3 of the glass as a normal beer. Look at the beer and you will see some light brown nitrogen bubbles circulating through the glass. Once the beer settles, its time to finish the pour. The glass is held directly under the tap, not tilted this time. The tap handle is pushed backwards and the glass is filled to the top. Doing this will let the bubbles really do their thing. Watching a Guinness is a part of the experience. Many people will send their beer back if it's not poured properly.

  2. when you pour beer, especially Guinness, there's a certain way to tilt it to get the right amount of head and for it to settle right....and a lot of people (guiness lovers) are paticular on how you pour a Guinness.  So he's just doing his job.

  3. guiness is a high end centuries old recipe, and there are standards for pouring and serving a guiness.it is a 4 minute pour, and true stout drinkers know and appreciate the time it takes to be served one.as the guiness people say;you POUR a budweiser..............but you CREATE a guiness.NEVER put a guiness in a chilled glass-NEVER put a guiness in a plastic cup,or a mug.it is a true pint, served in a clean room temp pint glass.if an establishment wants to carry the guiness brand-they are required to watch a 20 min video on the proper serving of the product.passion drives this product, and good for them.

  4. i think it's so it doesn't take as long for the guinness to settle. i, personally just pour it all at one time and wait.
