  1. see my problem is that i cant hit it far enough but when i hit it my ball goes really high just have your hand pointed towards the ceiling or sky but do straight up and throw up the ball with the opposite hand you hit with then take a step foward and hit it. that should work if not try to under hand it. that usually works really good :]

  2. Okay, serving a volleyball over the net at first is really hard! But it's all in the technique, you don't have to be really strong to do it. First you want to focus on your toss. Make sure when you're tossing the ball up you do it straight and high enough, but not too high. That's actually the most important part about serving because if you don't toss it right, then your serve will come up short or won't go high enough, or both.

Now when you hit it, I find it easier at first to hit the ball with the bottom part of your hand, like where all the muscle is. But that's somewhat hard because there isn't much for the ball to push off of, if that makes sense. I'm really good at serving and what I do is snap my wrist when I go to hit the ball over. It gives it sort of an extra push I guess. And it'll be high enough to go over. So when you go to hit it, pull your arm back and push the ball with the palm of your hand but slap your wrist so the ball will fly farther. It's kind of complicated explaining it in text but you don't want to like, slap the ball and do nothing, you have to time it perfectly.

But just remember that it's all in the technique.

  3. It's okay about the closed hand thing, most coaches do not let players close their fist. You can lose control of the ball.

Height starts off with a good toss. A good toss is one that isn't too high, nor is it too low. It's just about over your head and somewhat over to the side of which you hit. On the toss, lean back. When you go to hit the ball, lean forward and hit with the base of your hand. This transfers energy into the ball which will help with the height issue.

Also, for a bit more practice, try hitting from different lines. Serve from the spiking line, the 20ft line, and the finally ending with the serving line.

  4. there are step...

1 hold the ball with both hands in front of you.

2 raise the top hand (left handed left on top, right handed right on top)

3 throw the ball up 1 foot over your head then hit with fist/bottom of palm.

    good luck!!! :)

  5. slant your palm so its tilted toward the ceiling. hit it with your palm like you're holding a tray of food the a waiter (in that way that you're palm if facing up), then it will slant the serve higher and you'll be hitting it with a harder part of your hand.

  6. I cant get it over unless i underhand it...and hit it hard.

    incoming!

Oh, hahahaha! I'm such an idiot. I was thinking you were trying to be funny and meant net as in the internet. Sorry, my bad.

  8. You make a fist, then you come up from under the ball and hit it over the net, up but sideways so it goes over not up into the air.

  9. hit the ball at the highest point.

that way it will go higher.

  10. Perhaps try making your striking hand into a fist and hitting it so that it goes at a greater angle, but not too straight in the air.
