  1. Um...no. You are supposed to hold it on your hand, because then you have more control and can hit the ball without missing it. Do you ever miss the ball when throwing it up? Here's another suggustion, what about overhand serving? This will drastically improve your serve. Here are some tips:

    CREATE A ROUTINE

Your routine is perhaps the most important aspect of your “pre-serve”.Decide how many bounces, slaps, etc. you will do before going into the serving motions. This will give you some familiarity and make your serve consistent.

This also includes knowing how far you are from the service line (“serves go over, feet don’t!”)

    CHOOSE YOUR VICTIM

Picking a target on the floor will keep you from serving “out”.

Avoid good back row players, such as the libero as your victim. Find a possible hole on the floor (ex. in the middle of a cup formation)

    THE TOSS.

This is the most important aspect of the actual serve.

Bring the ball in both hands in front of your body.

Toss with both hands and do not toss between your legs!

    5. FANCY FOOTWORK

Stand so that your feet are about shoulder width apart, with your foot the same side as your hitting arm slightly ahead of the opposite foot. Check: Are your feet/body facing your victim? Are your feet far enough from the service line?

6.THE TOSS CONTINUEDThrow the ball about 4 feet to double your height. Toss straight up- too far ahead/behind will throw off your serve.

    7. CONTACTING THE BALL

    Lead with your elbow.

Make solid contact on the top of the ball.

Don’t poke the ball-put some muscle into it!

NEVER, EVER fist the ball. Cast your palm as open as possible for the most surface area.

While contacting the ball, step with the foot opposite your hitting arm.

    8. BODY MOVEMENTS

This will give you the most balance and propel your body.

Pull your non-hitting arm down, and let your hips twist when you hit the ball.

    9. FOLLOW THROUGH

After hitting the ball, snap your wrist.

This will give you the top spin you want to make your serve difficult to receive. Drag your foot -the same side as your hitting arm-because you cannot take 2 steps.

    Best of luck!

  2. There are two ways of serving. The underhand serve and the overhand serve. The underhand serve is easier, so i would start with that.

To do the underhand serve, your left foot (i am assuming you are right handed) should be in front of your right foot, which is bended and is in a 45 degree angle, so if you slide ur right foot over,it will be about an inch behind your left foot. hold the ball in your left hand, elbow straight, your hand about level to your waist. Now, your right leg should be bent, right foot not, if it is just a little bit. Your weight on both feet. Now your right hand should be in an "e" in sign language your fingers a little more tucked in. Your right elbow straight. Now swing your right hand back and forth (with out hiting the ball), or do a prep, then swing it back and forward (with all of your strength) to hit the ball over the net. While you hit it, take a step with your left foot and slide your right foot (on it's toes) to transfer your weight to your front, or left, foot. If you are left handed its the opposite (for example instead of left foot, right foot, etc)

Ok now is the overhand serve. This is more complicated. To do an overhand serve, there are 4 steps.

    1. Your left foot should be in front of your right foot, so if you slide your right foot over, it's toes will be in your left foot's arch. Your right foot is in a 45 degree angle. Legs should be bent only a little if any. Your weight on both feet. Hold the ball with both hands in front of you. Left hand on bottom, right hand on top. So if you take your right hand off, your left hand would be underthe ball. Elbows straight.

    2. Bring your right arm back like an arrow, palm out. Like this: http://www.hchs.hunter.cuny.edu/sports/i...

    3. Toss the ball up with your left hand (so if you dont hit it, it will land a little bit in front of your left foot) and step with your left foot.

    4. Swing your right arm and hit the ball over the net with an open hand. Never use a fist! If you want just a regular overhand serve, dont follow through. Stop when you hit the ball. If you want a spin on your ball, follow through. Drag your right foot on its toes when you hit the ball to transfer your weight to your front, or left, foot.

Now do it faster and you just did an overhand serve!

The way you are doing a serve, is not a real serve and will not be counted in a game. Practice the underhand serve and the overhand serve...YOU WILL GET IT!!

    Good Luck!!

  3. it really depends on how you are serving it... over hand or under hand.. its hard to explain so you can go to www.youtube.com and it can show you from there

  4. no first hold the ball in your hand then throw the ball up and use all your body strength to get the ball over the net! move ur arm in a circular motion starting at 180` downward so ur hand is down by ur side. then swing ur arm up and bring it back down to ur side afterwards. so throw the ball hit the ball it is that easy just remember use your whole body when ur hitting it.

and remember U CAN DO IT!!

  5. yea it is tempting to throw the ball up but serving that way is not correct. when you're serving grasp the ball lightly so you won't be tempted to toss it. GOOD LUCK!!

  6. how can you explain on the internet

    its best to show

  7. thrown the ball into the are and hit the ball like you would spike expect don't hit it towards the ground

  8. pertama, awak perlu baling bola tu ke atas dan pukul dengan kencang, supaya ia limpas dari net tersebut....

kalau masuk awak teriak dengan sekuat hati...

    semoga berjaya!!!???...
