look for a set button, usually you can hold the clock or set button down while pushing a button that says h, m or an up arrow symbol.

Most work about the same way.  Usually you hold a designated button (may be labeled "set" or something similar) and press the hour button at the same time.  This advances the hour indicator to the right number.  Do the same with the minute button (while holding the "set" button).

Most clocks also have to be set for "a.m." or "p.m.".
