Couple of ways to do it:

Easiest...

With wire (taken from a set of earbuds or head phones) strip the center insulation carefully with fingernail clippers.  Chip away the center of a pencil to expose the graphite lead.  Coil the wire around the lead and touch the wire ends to each pole of the battery.  Touch the wire coil to a piece of tissue.
