How do you set up a Directv favorite list?

I just got Directv and need to know how to set up a favorite list or something like that, also how to delete old lists. The guides that came with it basically say "Favorites lists let you view your favorite channels." but offer no info on how to do it.

Well I know how to do this LOL it took me long enough to figure it out. You won't believe how easy it is but time consuming.  Go to the menu button on your remote, click it, from the list go to favorites then to edit then to custom 1 click that and the entire list of channels that you get will appear follow the screen directions which have you click on the box in front of the channel you want in your customs 1 list.  Use the arrow keys around the orange ball to move up and down the list of channels.  When you've selected all the channels you want as favorites click the left arrow key to get to the menu and then select done to save your choices.

This stuff is somewhere in the manual if I could find mine I'd tell you which page.  Found my manual see page 32 and page 38. Your right the manual stinks and the web site is no help either. Good luck.
