How do you set up a home theater system?

I can set up my system just fine but when I turn it it it shuts off what could be the cause of this

  1. The Most command cause would be a speaker wire shorting out.



    Try disconnecting one speaker at a time from the system and turning the system back on.

    When your system stays on, You found the bad speaker or you can check the wire at the speaker to see if it's shorted.

    Once you fix the short or replace the speaker, Your ready to pop that bag of popcorn and pick that DVD you wanted to see sit back and enjoy the show!

  2. Scotty is right in my opinion and it's far more likely a wiring mistake than a defective speaker. Just one copper strand touching the wrong binding post will send your system into shut-down.

    If you can't get it solved, go back to the store where you bought the equipment and tell them you have a defective installer and see what they recommend.
