How do you set up an email using outlook 2003 on a laptop?

can someone please send me detailed instructions step by step. Do you have to contact your internet service provider? E.G eircom.ie or bt.ie. Any help appreciated.

  1. It's much easier not to use it. Just search your eMail provider, then log into it using your eMail address & password. Put it into Bookmarks or Favourites for future use. Oh, and you can use this from any computer, it also saves your mail on the net, not on the PC. It's called web mail.


  2. http://www.ed2go.com/ offers an online course to help with Microsoft Outlook. You can consider taking it. And no, you do not have to contact your ISP.

  3. you'll need 4 pieces of info.

    the name of your ISP's POP3 server, the name of your ISP's SMTP server, your email address and your pasword.

    then just go to Tools > Accounts and set up a new account. Enter the info from above into the relevant boxes

  4. Yes, you have to contact your ISP to set up an email address, you will be asked what password do you want to use so note it well.
