How do you set up the headset for metal gear solid

On the PS3???? i can get it to work on my phone but icant get it to work when i play

Well if it's a bluetooth, try the following steps:

From the start-up screen

1) Go to settings

2) Accessory Settings

3) Audio Device Settings

4) Connect Bluetooth

At this point you want to press your headsets connect button (if you are not sure how to do this, refer to the headsets guide) and the PS3 will sync with it. The name should then appear on the input device section, if it didn't, select that option and find the name. Your mic should then pick up and you should hear it echo on this screen to test it out. When you enter Metal Gear Online, you may need to connect the headset again if it is still not working. You should see a small mic next to your name that tells you it is picking up a mic.

If you are using a USB, that option will be available at the device setting also. (But I don't think this is your case.)

Once my bluetooth was set up, I had to turn it on (holding the button) then press it once to establishh the connection with the PS3 (while it is on) then it was good to go.
