  1. First put a egg wieght on your main line. Size depends on depth , wind, etc. Then tie on a small swivel. Cut anywhere from 1.5ft to    4 ft of line off a spool of line for your leader. Tie this leader to your swivel. Tie a small golden gamagatsu, or eagle claw egg wieght onto the other end of the leader. Then put two Berkely Power eggs on the hook, cast it out, tighten the line, and catch some fish!

I recommend chartreuse power eggs, or pink or orange.

  2. I use alot of berkley power bait and Zekes... and I use the same rig alot...

    hook  >>> 2lb or 4lb leader >>> barrel swivel >> egg sinker

I use 2lb in small bodies of water and 4lb in bigger areas that have alot of possibilities for snags or for the fish to get caught up in.  Keep both with you though... I'll explain....

hook should be an egg hook size 14-16 or a treble hook same size (depending on local laws)

    size 14 barrel swivel

egg sinker should be about 1/8 oz or something in that neighborhood - depending how far you want to get it out...

The leader is the key part here - you need to experiment with how long it should be - the temperature of a lake or stream will be different - you need to try to find the depth they are hanging at... I normally start with about a 15" leader and have gone as long as 20" or down to 12".

Then you choose the color of your bait - I normally use any shade of yellow to start, then if that falls flat try chartruse or chartruse & white.   Next two would be FL orange or red / pink.

Never had any luck with the earthworm scent or nymph scent of power bait...

If you notice the guy next to you is catching fish and he's using the same color as you are then it's either the length of the leader or he's got a 2lb and you're using 4lb... happened to me several times - that is why I carry 2 -3 - 4lb leaders in my tacklebox...

I usually put my rod on a rock and leave the bail open so they can run if I plan on eating the fish - if not I open the bail and put enough slack so I can see if they are taking the line and running with it - then I wait and set the hook. I usually have my pole at about 2:30 position so I can see the strike.

    Good luck...

  3. try egg wieght and small hook corn for baight

  4. tie a three way swivel on the end of your main line . off one of the remaining eyes tie a lighter line about 1 ft. add some split shot according to drift speed any distance the 1 ft. is for any needed adjustments . on the last remaining tie your leader length and weight your preference. tie to the end your hook. this is the most adaptable system ever and the most adjustable and most affordable.

  5. FWIW I've used this set up before with good sucess on  Rainbow Trout.  It all depends on how deep your fishing though..........

1 small egg shaped sinker at bottom of the line

1 eagle claw hook with about 6" leader about 2 feet up from the weight.

1 big old red and white bobber about 2 feet up from the hook
