I was thinking of creating my own webpage or website where i could make a few quids on the side by hosting search engines or adverts ...any suggestions?

Well, you will need to get FTP. You can find downloads for it all over the internet. I will inclue a link to one in my sources.

Then you need a domain. This is the name of your site. You can get promo codes for this, and get cheaper names. Just google 'Go Daddy Promos' or something like that. I will include a link to GoDaddy in my sources.

Then you need a host. This is what runs the website. I will include a link to one of the best hosts out there in my sources.
