  1. well im a setter and without ur wrists the ball aint going very far

  2. You cannot set and not use your wrists, your wrist are probably the most important part of setting because it gives you a bit more strength and it gives you all your control.

I am a university setter and so i know what has to be done, if you don't use your wrist you will lose probably 3-4 feet on your sets and they will probably be sprayed everywhere and you will not be accurate at all. plus if you don't use yoru wrist the sets will be really flat and without the wrists you can't back set, because that is all wrists.

You can't set and not use your wrists, unless you want to be a really bad setter lol

  3. I am a setter and i learned the hard way you have to use your wrist you can break them your wrist controll the ball and take the top spin off. ♥

  4. i think you are talking about "sucking the ball in" where you turn your hands down toward your face and then push it out. it gives more control and a much lighter touch or "setters hands" but you really need to ask someone to show you

ps- you still use your wrists a bit

  5. well you are going to have to use your wirsts a little but all your power comes from your legs mostly and your arms.

  6. You will have to use your wrist, besides getting power from your legs, waist, arms, and fingers.

  7. well im an outside hitter and well i really dont know much about setting but my bro sophanith had the same problem hes a setter wat he did was he satarted using his whole arm to set as he got used to using his armsn the he just used his fore arm never set  with your wrist good luck

  8. I have been a sitter for almost 4 years. Just dont keep your wrist stiff becuase you need your wrist during settin. Just use your finger tips and follow through with your wrist. its better to push the ball with your fingers.
