How do you setup a digital thermometer in your leopard geckos cage so it will tell the right temperature?

I would get a digital thermometer with a probe on the end of it and the display on the outside. I have gotten them at Radio Shack before for like 20 bucks.  You can then move the probe inside the tank to the warm side or the cool side and adjust the temperature accordingly.  Good luck
