How do you shape photos on photoshop?

Question

Like, if you have a standard square photo,

and you put it on photoshop to edit it, how can you change the shape?

Like.. make it a cirle?

to change the square shape to other four point angle, use image / transform to move points,

to make center part of image rounded, and crop/ cut out edge, ~you can use round selection tool  to copy center to new layer,

~or select center, invert selection to outer area, then delete,

~or  create mask on same layer, with selection and feather edges to fade if you want,
