How do you shrink a photo from 1.2mb to 275 kb?

can you do it from my pictures.

i have adobe starter edition & picasa2

I'm not familiar with that program because I use photoshop, but you will need to either make the image smaller physically or lower the resolution so that there are less pixels per inch.

Resize it - make it smaller in resolution -it will make it smaller in size and file size,

also you can increase the JPEG compression (higher compression/lower quality settings produce smaller files).

Load it into Adobe starter, choose edit, resize , play with the different sizes, save each time with different jpeg settings.

Doing that will allow you to learn how resolution and jpeg compression have effect on quality and file size.
