Question:

How do you sign a letter in Russian?

I'm writing a couple of emails to long lost friends and don't know what to write at the end of the letter.

I need something equivalent to "take care" "hope to hear from you soon" etc..

I don't write much in Russian anymore besides some business emails and I don't want this to sound too stuck up, but also don't want to be sending hugs and kisses just yet

Any suggestions?

  1. “take care” is not typical for ending, yet you may tell “beregite sebia” or “zselaju zdorovja” to an aged person; also “bud’ zdorov = tvoja Devoczka” to a male friend;

    “nadejus’ u tebia (u Vas) vsio choroszo!” is also good;

    “(s neterpenijem) zsdu otveta” for "hope to hear from you soon".

    The best speller is Russian version of MS Word;

    there’s one more option; sign in on yandex.ru for an email box– there’s an on-line speller, too;
