How do you do it? Sometimes I can do it, but then other times, I crack.

For example Since U Been Gone by Kelly Clarkson, the "Since you been gonee!!" line.

How do you sing it smooth?

  1. voice training. practice practice. the only limit to the voice is low, because you cant elongate your vocal cords. when you sing high notes you are basically using less of your cords. you are holding part of your cords still, and using the other part to vibrate and make sound.

you just need to practice. play around with your voice; chest, throat, and head voice are all different.

  2. im not much of a singer ^^

but avoid milk and cold beverages before you sing.

go find a piano and go up the scale little by little

  3. Practice the transisition and practice your scales in that range. Relax, and try to feel like you're mouth is stretching like a yawn. And try drinking mildly acidic stuff like anything with lemon juice (tea, water). It won't raise your range or have much of an effect, but I find it easier to sing when lemon juice has scoured my throat clean of heavy things like grease, sugar, or mucus.
