How do you sit when you get a lower back tattoo?

i was wondering if you sat face down when you get a lower back tatto or sit up?

and what shuld you wear and do they make you take off your shirt?

im pretty sure you sit and lean forward/at an angle, and you dont take off your shirt, you just roll it up

The artist will most likely tell you to sit backwards in a chair, and lean your arms on the top of the chair.

you can request to lay on your stomach or sit facing backwards and all you do is roll your shirt up
