  1. If you are a homeschooler considering entering public school, they will give you a test and place you in the grade they think you're most suited for -- but they also consider your age!  So even if you're academically ahead, they might still put you in the grade for your chronological age.  School's option, not yours.

In public school, you have to go to class, do all your assignments, turn them in, and pretty much just folliow all the rules.  It will probably dumb you down, because they teach to the C students, figuring the D/F students aren't going to get it anyway, and the A students will succeed no matter what.  They generally lump everybody together in the same class because they don't think it's beneficial in any way to separate people according to ability.  Unless you get to go to "gifted" or "advanced" classes because you're doing so well.  Some of these are pretty good, but others are glorified babysitters.

    Good Luck!

  2. Well to skip a grade you have to show the teachers that you are ahead of all the other students in your class. Most of the times that means you are getting OUTSTANDING grades on even the hardest things. In public school all you have to do is do the homework, pay atention in class, and try and make friends.
