When you audition for film/commercial..etc..how do you slate for the camera? I've always stated my name and agent but I've heard many different answers. Some state their name and the part they are auditioning for, others just say their name, some state their name and the production they are auditioning for.

What's the correct answer?

  1. Unless they specifically ask for additional information, just say your name.

They already know who your agent is, what part you're auditioning for and what the production is.

  2. I  just say my name and the part I'm auditioning for. Usually if they want additional information (like the name of your agent or your telephone number, etc), they'll ask.
