you can drain and refill the pool but if your tap water is hard they have a device that fits over the end of hose to filter out minerals....otherwise,you can get a sand filter with media such as zeobest sand which removes some minerals: http://www.swimming-pool-information.com...

what do you mean? you can add bath fizzle to it or fragrance oil..like in the bath tub..otherwise..water will be water..unless it gets slimy or whatever.
