How do you solve this (3 – x)/(2x + 7) < 0?

  1. i think it&#039;s determining whether the answer is less than zero... the equation is less than zero if 3&lt;x  


  2. (3 – x)/(2x + 7) &lt; 0

    than

    (3 – x)&lt;0

    (2x + 7) &gt;0  so x&gt;3

    or

    (2x + 7)&lt;0

    (3 – x)&gt;0   so x&lt;-7/2

    the answer is    x&gt;3 or x&lt;-7/2
