How do you sotter an earing and a paperclip together??

You mean solder?

You use a soldering gun. Plug it in, and take a thin little wire of metal. Touch the end of the soldering gun to the metal right on the place that you want soldered on the earring and paperclip. The solder will go on there, and it cools and dries pretty fast.

You need to lightly sand the earing and paperclip at the places that you want to attach them. Use a pair of pliers to hold them together, heat them with a soldering iron, and apply small diameter rosin core solder at the junction of the iron, earing, and paperclip (almost need three hands for this). If done correctly, the solder will flow and coat the earring and paperclip. If it just balls up, either they aren't hot enough, or have not been cleaned (sanded) enough.
