I have a recipe for Orange Drop cookies that calls for 1 cup of sour milk. How do I make sour milk?

  1. 1 cup reg milk with 1 Tablespoon lemon juice or vinegar added....let set for an hour or so...

    1/2 c. butter

    1 c. sour milk or buttermilk

    1 tsp. baking soda

    2 c. flour

    1 c. raisins

    1 tsp. cinnamon

    1/4 tsp. ground cloves

    Pinch of nutmeg

    (To sour milk, put 1 tablespoon vinegar or lemon juice in a cup measure and fill to 1 cup with sweet milk.)

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a Bundt pan.

    2. Cream butter and sugar together. Add milk and baking soda.

    3. Add flour, spices and raisins. Mix well. Pour into pan and bake for approximately 45 minutes.

  4. hmm, i think i remember this from a cookbook, just put in a tablespoon of lemon juice, leave it uncovered for about 15 minutes or so, and there you have it! SOUR milk :D

  5. 1 tablespoon vinegar (or lemon juice) to 1 cup of fresh milk.  Or you can just buy buttermilk.

  6. I think a little vinegar will sour it.
