How do you speed up music on Windows Movie Maker?

  1. Movie Maker does not have this function built in. You need to make the music faster somewhere else, then import it into Movie Maker.

    Or there is a rather ugly workaround, that goes something like this:

    1. Import your video and put it on the timeline twice.

    2. Click on the second clip, then go to the Tools menu and choose Video Effects. Now go the the 3rd from the last effect, Speed Up, Double, and choose it

    3. Drag the sped up clip down to the Audio/Music track.

    4. Mute the sound on the original normal speed clip.

    You get the idea.
