  1. When talking about the person, God is capitalized, like his name or title.  When talking about the concept, god (goddess) does not have to be capitalized.

  2. Depends on who's god I am talking about. And if I am talking about a specific god, or just the name of a male Deity.

    The Goddess and the God.

    The Christian God.

    The Greek gods and goddess'.

Really, it just depends on how I am using it, and if it is a proper noun or not.

  3. "Invisible Sky Fairy"

    .

  4. monotheists tend to put a capital "G", some who aren't also do so when referring to a monotheistic "God"

as a polytheist I don't while referring to my gods/ goddesses. its a description not a name, so it doesn't need to be capitalised

  5. Marilyn Manson!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

  6. God is Great.  God is at the beginning and ends also.

    GOD is 'Trinity'

    G = generator

    O = operator

    D = destroyer

'Tat Twam Asi'  Thou Art That

At an young age, we generate new ideas by knowledge.

When adult, we operate with the help of wealth.

At old age, we destroy the previous mistakes with energy, preparing our self for the next life.

This is how I spell my Life.  Good GOD !

Jesus said God can be in you if you are Pure.

Any one can spell his life as he pleases.

  7. It depends on how you're referring to the word.  The word "god" refers to a spirit creature.  This can be a false god, an angel, a demon, any sort of spirit creature, but this would be denoted with a lower case "g".  When you're referring to the One True God, then you would use a capital "G".  If you wanted to be even more correct you could refer to God by name.

(Psalm 83:18) That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth.

Most Bibles have removed the name from the Bible, but many Bibles still include it in that scripture from Psalms.  It was actually listed in the Bible about 7000 times.

  8. ghawd  -  maybe he won't know I am bleshpheming if I spell it way wrong ;)

  9. The capitalized word "God" refers to the true God.

The non-capitalized word "god" refers to a false or counterfeit god.

  10. Capital God. It's to show respect..

  11. God  is the father God  if you put god  its  any man made god  or   imaginary one.

  12. F I C T I O N.

    No capital g, ever.

  13. I spell it God/ess. I feel its a open term that shows you are open the views of others. Its more gender equal and politically correct.

  15. I Am,or Yahweh

  16. capital God

  17. I spell it DOG

  18. C-L-A-P-T-O-N

  19. The use of a capital 'G' or lowercase 'g' all depends on the syntax.  If you're referring to deities in general, use 'g'.  If you're referring to the specific deity of monotheist religions, then you use 'G', since it's somebody's name.

It's kind of like how you don't capitalize 'car' unless you're talking about the 1980s car model "Le Car", or the band "The Cars".  Of course, anybody who thinks "Le Car" is the best model is delusional.

    I spell it R-O-L-A-I-D-S.

  20. god is one of many in paganism

the ONE and only is spelled with a capital G.

And I spell it Gd, because it will be erased sometime, and that would be a bad thing if it were all spelled out.

  21. Capitalization means the one God.

Lower case for lower entities. For example money may be your god.

    God love you!

"God is a word, an unspoken word.

God is the word which pronounces itself.

God is spoken and unspoken." Mesiter Eckhart

  22. That's a hard one. Although most Christians appear to consider "God" a pronoun, we know from the bible that "God" isn't his name. However, grammatically speaking, if you are USING it as a pronoun... then yes you should capitalize it as you should any pronoun you use for anyone.

If you are asking if God will strike you down for not using a capital "G" that's ludicrous. He would need to be pretty spiteful, petty and vain to be so concerned over such a small thing. I don't believe he is like that.

  23. of course it's capitol. read your bible

  24. "God" isn't a name, its a term used to describe Him. I capitalize it out of respect. If you don't respect Him, then don't capitalize it.

If you do respect Him, then why not capitalize the word God?

  25. The truth is, the Creator of the heavens and the earth Who we worship, His name is Yahweh not "God".  "God" is used in the common fare scripture translation to substitute out His name, but mostly to substitute out the title "Elohiym", which means "Mighty Ones".  It is a term used this way to refer to Yahweh by English speakers unknowing that in reality, "God" is the SPECIFIC Hebrew name of Fortune (Fortune-distributor), a Babylonian idol worshiped by the Canaanites. Yahweh doesn't want us invoking other mighty ones, which aren't real mighty ones anyway (Exodus 23:13) but this one in particular has special mention in Isaiah 65:11-17 which says He will put to death those who don't listen and forsake Yahweh for "God". This would be understandable in your KJV if the scribes hadn't continued recklessly to "translate" Elohiym as "God" and mistranslated "God" as "that troop", but find below a good translation of that passage.  Moreover look at what Fortune-distributor is in Greek: DEMON.  And in Aramaic: MAMMON.

So considering these facts, it is bad for you to call on "God" at all, that term is an idol's name, yet do you want to capitalize Demon? Mammon?

  26. You spell it egomaniacalpsychopathicmurderousmyth

  27. M-E-D-D-L-E-R

  28. i'm sure grammer would be a dieties biggest issue.

  29. If it's the Christian deity, it's God.  If not, it's god.  It's that simple.
