Question:

How do you spell the sound of coughing and kissing?

kissing spells like "tsk" or "tsup" or whatever... but how bout coughing is it "ahek-ahek!" or is there anymore good spelling out thur?

I've been debating with a friend bout this help me.

    and cough is written as "cough cough " only i think

  3. Tsk, tsup and ahek-ahek are not words.

    The sound a cough makes is a cough - it's already onomatopoeic, the word sounds like the noise

    For kissing, I would say smooch - its etymology is possibly onomatopoeic in origin also.

  4. Coughing and kissing are not really words, per se. But if you're writing a story or something, you can imitate the sounds.  Kissing would be more like "'smack" and coughing could be "cough", "hack" or the sound of clearing one's throat, "Harrummph!"  Actually, though, you really don't have to spell those sounds in a story, as everyone knows what kissing and coughing sounds are like, and can use their imaginations.
