  1. Bathroom = bagno (not bango or banjo); "gn" sound is hard to explain on written form; as said by the user above, is like "n" in "Espana". Anyway, "gn" is similar to "nee", so "bu nee oh" ("u" like in "sun").

"Gabinetto" is the actual toilet, the French word "toilette" ("tooah - layt") is also used, especially when asking on a restaurant, a train, etc.

You can use any of those terms: "Dov'è il bagno?", "Dov'è il gabinetto?", "Dov'è la toilette?".

Gabinetto is the less... uhm... "elegant" way to call it (it's not a vulgar or offensive term, though)

  2. Bagno, pronounced like banyo in english.

  3. Outdoors

  4. Bagno. Devo andare al bagno!!!

  5. its bagno for bathroom. but most europeans think 'toilet' is a disgusting word,  but the translation for toilet is gabinetto. so instead of saying toilet say bathroom. so say bagno. pronounced 'ban-yo'

  6. If you say toilet they will understand you.

  7. Bagno is actually bathroom not the actual TOILET. But from my understanding Gabinetto is the actual toilet.

But if you want to say, Where is the toilet, you should use Bagno not gabinetto.

  8. nope, it is gabinetto.

  9. is BAGNO you can say gabinetto as well...but you can easily use the word toilet as well they will understand you dont worry....

  10. Dov'è il bagno?

  11. Bagno.... pronounced "baño" as in Spanish.

  12. Either bagno or gabinetto will get you there.

One is bathroom, the other the toilet.
