  1. Hit it with a high intensity particle beam or atomic isotope which has enough energy to cause the proton and neutrons to break apart.ExaMPLE, AN ATOM BOMB.

  2. It's called the Atomic Bomb. Don't try it lol

So just Google atomic bomb, it will tell ya the science of it all

There's also something in Germany that's called a "particle accelerator" there doing tons of crazy S**t with that.

    Hope this helps.

  3. Splitting atoms requires MUCHO energy. Cyclotrons and their ilk. Large national and international laboratories are build just for this activity. It is NOT a normal chem lab project!

  4. You accelerate another atom or particle to very high speeds and collide the two of them.

  5. like an onion

  6. How do I split and atom?  I don't.

  7. u use a particle accelerator on a neutron and smash the neutron into the nucleus on an atom of an unstable element like uranium.

it may sound simple but it is rlly hard!

  8. couple o ways. in a particle accelerator they speed up the atoms near the speed of light and ram them, which creates an explosion that they can study compared to the big bang,

in the bomb they crush the nucleus of a uranium with a extremely fast moving smaller nucleus, which creates a chain reaction of othe atoms exploding
