How do you start a bandd?

ohhkayy, so my friend and i are pretty good at singing, and we want to start a band,

were not quite sure how to get a software to make beats or get a gig somewhere, we are totally clueless, ha,

help please :P

Computer> Internet> Music software> $$$$$> work, work, work> singing comes last.

It's a long way from clueless to gig...but you gotta start somewhere.

These days you don't need a band.  There are drum programs and bass programs already in the can that are better than any body you could find...and they have perfect rhytum too...which you will find you may not when you crank them up and try to stay on the beat.  Find a friend who plays the guitar or the piano...practice with him or her, Kareoke does not count...the music must come from you !

My advice...find working bands who are good but have a crappy singer...go to their shows...Memorize their songs and go up to the guy who looks like he runs the band at the break and ask if you can audition.  

Remember, 500,000 starry eyed "pretty good singers" bite the dust every day ...so practise hard and sing every note like you really mean it !

I suggest Fruity Loops D.J software. If that fails then I suggest you ask people around work or school if they now how to play any instruments and start a band with instruments too.
