  1. Well, provided you have the necessary items, bike, safety gear, helmet...etc.  You can go to this website http://www.motocrosstracks.com/

They have a pretty good assortment of tracks grouped by state.  I have used it to find tracks around my hometown.

  2. Look at this link, this tells you the HOW TO for a ton of questions, like starts, jumps, cornering, etc. All you have to do is look it up....

    http://www.transworldmotocross.com/mx/se...

Here is another link to the tracks in the Ohio area......

    http://www.motocrossactionmag.com/ME2/di...

The list is all the states, just look up your state......

  3. Hi northmor_17,

what you want to do is get your gear first...you will need  (have to have )helmet, goggles, chest protector, long sleeve shirt, boots...I would also highly recommend a kidney belt and neck protector...(knee and elbow pads can be a plus..cut down on road rash)..most of this can be got off eBay at a fraction of the price ......

since you are in Ohio most of the tracks I know of are AMA..you will need to register with them which can be done at the track or over the internet.....these are the tracks my kids have raced in Ohio..that is known of and consider pretty good.... http://www.fasttraxxracing.com/ this is near Athens at Nelsonville about 60 miles from Columbus  this is an AMA track..they have a supercross track and a motocross track... there is also a place not far from there called Sunday Creek ..I don't have the link and it is also a AMA track

there is a indoor (during the winter) and outdoor track near Jackson ..about 100 miles out of Cincinnati  http://hotrodsmxracing.com/  this is  "outlaw racing" ..you don't have to be in the AMA to race at the tracks.... I also have heard of an indoor track around Cincinnati..but have never been there and can't remember the name....

I am not from Ohio...so, I am not sure of other tracks....sorry I couldn't be of more help  ....maybe one of the tracks I mentioned will be near you..they are pretty nice .....

best of luck to you......mom of motocrossers........
