  1. Man, I just went on a 3 hour trip last weekend, which is nothing, i do it atleast once a month, But on the way home, i had to pull off the hiway it was so bad. The sun being out and my squinting was really wearing me out. Once it got cloudy out, I spruced up............

Shades will help believe it or not..........

  2. Make use of rest areas, whether nature is calling or not. Get out and walk around. Grab a snack or beverage. It may take you a little longer to get where you're going, but it's better than the alternative. Five minutes of walking and stretching can work wonders.

Keep the vehicle as cool as possible. Don't constantly gaze at the highway. Check the mirrors, signs, and anything else for a second or so to keep your eyes moving. Maintaining a steady stare at the highway and those moving white lines can cause "highway hypnosis" which can put you to sleep in minutes.

Don't try to set endurance records. Driving a thousand miles without sleep is nothing to brag about. You're doing nothing but endangering yourself, your passengers, and everyone else on the road. If and when you arrive, you'll be spending the next twelve hours sleeping, so what will you gain?

If you're still having difficulty keeping awake, it's time to find a motel or safe spot to park and call it a day.

  3. dont sleep while your driving, or dont drive at all

  4. Whenever you feel yourself starting to get tired, stop and take a break. Stop at a gas station or rest stop, get out of the car, stretch, and walk around. You need to get your blood pumping. Even if you have to make several pit stops in the course of your trip, do it.

Drink caffeinated drinks like coffee and soda. This should keep your energy high.

Eat something. Of course, you don’t want to have an entire turkey dinner while you are driving and become comatose, but simply snack on some peanuts or chips. This will give you something else to focus on other than being tired.

Turn the a/c on and point the vents at your face on high blower.

  5. If you can't answer that you shouldn't be driving!!!!

Get some more sleep before you cause an accident!! Duh!!

  6. If you're sleepy, you shouldn't be driving. It only takes a second for you to fall asleep behind the wheel and possibly be involved in a accident.

  7. I make sure I get adequate rest before I am going to drive.

  8. BY LAW YOU CAN ONLY DRIVE FOR A 11 HOURS THEN YOU SLEEP FOR 10 BUT YOU DONT HAVE TO SLEEP FOR THOSE 10 HOURS YOU HAVE TO REST TAKE A BREAK FOR 10 HOURS AND IF YOU FEEL SLEEPY PULL OVER TO THE REST STOP GET SMOTHING TO EAT DRINK RELAX AND GO TO SLEEP THEN YOU ARE READY TO GO IN MORNING AFTER THE 10 HOURS OF REST IF YOU DONT DO THAT YOU WILL GET FINDED AND YOU WILL BE A DANGER TO EVERYONE AROUND YOU

  9. Pull over and take a 20 minutes nap

  10. Drink lots and lots of highly caffeinated beverages.

That way, not only will you be hopped up on caffeine, you will need to p**s like never before.

Also, if it is cold outside, turn your A/C up all the way.

  11. Depends on a few things,Are you prone to being tired all the time,or just when driving, and how long have you been driving when you start getting tired,I like to get a wash cloth and put into a ice jug and rub the back of my neck and face,it helps for awhile,Don`t force yourself to stay awake,You will cause yourself to be unalert, Take a nap or just go walk around for a bit.

  12. LOTS OF COFFEE =] and a person next to you to slap you when you start getting tired ;D
