Most of my days are spent being a servant. I realize this is totally a huge part of being a mom. I just feel like I'm in a rut. They should have mom vacations for free to fiji. lol

Any tips?

  1. Accentuate the positive.  Find those moments when you get that hug from the little ones for doing something, or a sticky smile after eating a huge pancake and focus on them while you're doing the drudgery.

  2. While I know not everyone will agree with me, my faith is what keeps me going.  A prayer for guidance, strength, or extra patience helps get me through those tough moments.  It is important to get some relaxation time as well.  Do you have family around that can watch the kids for you so you can go out and do something you enjoy?  Even if it's just a trip to the library to browse through some books or a leisurely afternoon at a coffee shop, little things like that can help recharge you!  Being a mom is tough!  Hang in there and don't be afraid to ask for help from those around you.

  3. Take time for ur self. It being at 3am when the rest of the world sleeps or at what ever time possible. Depending on your kids ages, plan activities the will both suit you and your child. Don't be just a mom be one of them.

  4. When she smiles I say it's all worth it.

Last night she was supposed to be sleeping but somehow walked/ran right to my husband and I while we were watching TV, it was the cutest thing and she had a huge smile on her face!

The little things, a smile, a laugh, her walking and saying words, that makes it worth all the hard times.
