How do you stay "Listen... the city breathes" in Spanish?

There's a song by the Black Star called "Respiration" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnDCJ2wCV-Q) that opens with a female voice repeating "Escuchela.. la ciudad respirando" (at least, that's how it's spelled according to lyric sites). I want to make sure I have it grammatically correct and that I'm spelling everything right. Any feedback is very much appreciated!

Escuchala is Listen to it...

La ciudad respira = The city breathes

La ciudad respirando = The city is breathing.

"Escuchala... la ciudad respirando" = Listen to it.. the city is breathing

"Escucha... la ciudad respira" = Listen... the city breathes

Literally, the answer to your question is "Escucha... la ciudad respira" but "Escuchala.. la ciudad respirando" is also grammatically correct.
