Question:

How do you stick wallpaper edges that keep lifting?

I have just papered a wall that was already papered (I know for a professional finish I should have removed the paper beneath but I was in a rush to decorate it ready for a baby coming home from hospital) and the edges of the paper are not sticking properly. I have tried to restick the edges with more wallpaper paste but after a while the edges lift again. I would rather not have to start all over again if I can help it - can anyone help me?

  1. have you tried just using pritt stick?

  2. an uhu glue stick & something to roll over the edge to press it firmly against the wall

  3. Use a syringe to get glue into the small spaces around the edges.

    Good luck.

  4. pva glue or no more nails should do it

  5. Super Glue would hold it down and it a cheep fix.

  6. Use pva or border adhesive that comes in squeezy tubes with a pointed applicator, worked for me!

  7. I have had good luck with an Avery Permanent Glue Stick, found in the office supplies section.  Quick, neat, and lasts.

  8. try solvite edging glue in a tube or tub from b&q,it really works
