How do you stop a CALYPSO washer pump from clogging?

My CALYPSO washer pump cloggs once every few months or so. I have replaced the pump with what I was told was an upgreaded version, and still have this issue.

If you're washing baby socks or anything small like that, buy one of those mesh washing bags to keep that stuff out of the pump.  That's odd that happens though - must be a design defect - contact the manufacturer.

If it is lint stop washing throw rugs, spend five minutes searching pockets, pin all small items together.

Hate to sound simple but what clogs it?  Keep that out of it.
