How do you stop a bug bite itching!!!?

it happened while i was camping yesterday, i live in UK so it's noting poisonous. i woke up with the bite, it was swollen up in a clear liquid filled bump. i squeezed out as much as i could and put an air-tight plaster over it (i heard that it'll stop itching if air cant get to it - and it worked), but i have no more plasters!

so my mum said to put roll-on deodorant on it, but that hurt like h**l!

the bite is about 24 hours old now, it's still in a small bump but it has a scab on it but it's still itching! what can i do!???

thanks for your help! x

  1. Something I used to use for mosquitoes and chigger bites that my grandma told me when I was young, and it works well. Use fingernail polish to put over it. The clear is the best because it doesn't clump and isn't quite as easily seen. Hope this works for you too! =)

  2. Calamine lotion works well.. get it at the pharmacy.

  3. Sounds like chiggers. The best thing I have found to do is putting clear nail polish on over the bite. It stings pretty bad for a second, but after that it seems to help the itching quite well.

  4. Deorderant works... the wet type

  5. calamine   lotion
