How do you stop a drink from spewing when it has been frozen or shaken?

i have an icey cold ginger ale and it is frozen. it has thawed out but when i try to open it the liquid begins to move towards the top and it wants to spew out. how do i stoop this?

  1. Unscrew the lid slowly, and when it starts to foam to the top, just quickly s***w the top back on. Keep repeating until the foaming stops. It's faster usually than tapping on the lit.

    Now if it's a can, then that might not work. Sometimes it's easy to try hard to slowly pop the tab. For example instead of pulling the tab until it's fully open, put pressure on the tab until you hear a hissing noise and wait until it's gone. It usually doesn't spray. Then when the hissing noise is gone put a bit more pressure on the tab and if you don't hear nothing then it's safe to open. Otherwise repeat until open.


  2. Unscrew the lid slowly.

    If that doesn't work, shake vigorously and point at a friend or relative.


  3. tap on the top for awhile.
