if your a bit of a handy person, you can change the internal guts of your faucet, the seats on your faucet are probably worn out, you'll first have to shut off the angle stops running to the hot and cold water under the cabinet before you start.

next you need to identify the manufacturer of the faucet, sometimes they stamp thier logo somewhere, the popular ones are Moen, Delta, American Standard, Chicago Faucet, Price Phister...... if it has no I.D. marks anywhere, then it could get a little more complicated, you may need to take the guts into the hardware store and match them up with universal repair kits........ the other option is, call a plumber, but they will probably recomment putting a new faucet in, since your gonna pay for 1 hr. of labor anyways, or just call a plumber for a estimate.

You can remove the handle from the faucet and inspect any washers for damage or hard water build up. Make sure all of the parts are tight. You can buy O ring lube and the hardware store to keep all your seals from drying out.

Replace the little rubber gasket that is inside the faucet.

you need to shut off the water then take the handles off and remove the gasket from inside it is small , be sure and look inside to see how it goes in cause the is a spring on it , then take it to your local hardware store and buy new gaskets then go and install them both . oh sorry after the handels remove the stem the gaskets are inside .

You may need to unscrew the end of the faucet ( the aerator) and replace the washer inside of it. Also, there is a stem inside the turn on/off handle that sometimes needs to be replaced. You might ask some one at a hardware store or Home Depot or Lowe's. They would probably know what you need to stop it from running. Last resort, a plumber. Good luck.
