How do you stop flies getting in your drink if the window is open or you in the garden?

Question

the d**n drink is only 30 minutes old and already has a kamikazi fly in it! would those little paper umbrellas help they make for drinks?

how to keep the flies out?

or once they are in, what to do?

1. pick him out

2. throw life raft (or life saver)

3, throw drink away?

4. make a drink for the flies and hope they leave yours alone then?

use a coaster on top of your drink

Save a lid you get at a shop when you get to go meals,  & Use it to cover it. Or simply use a napkin.

This is why they put a chunk of lime on their beer bottle in Mexico.  Citric acid - flies don't like it.

put a napkin over the glass, if its in throw it away - theres no telling where that flies been - you know how they like to set up home on dog S**t - i wouldnt risk it

just put one of those pretty coasters you can buy .

Put a lid on your cup. If the fly is in pick him out & give him a cookie. :)

cover your can,bottle,cup with cling film and pop a straw through it-no more pesky flies

Think about covering the drink? In fact , you can use the cup you get at McDs with their coffee. That has the appropriate  cover. If you don't like flies, don't take your drink outside. The latter is the easiest solution unless you also have flies in the house.

First, any drink that lasts 30 minutes should be discarded as it is obviously a bad drink.You could pick him out but there is a lot a protein in flys. A raft or life saver is out of the question as they would destroy the taste of the drink. Throw it away? A waste of good alcohol. Make one for them? Let them find their own.I have a product that  eliminates all those problems and concerns.It's called "Dave's Dare To Drink My Drink Scary Screen." It consists of a small piece of screening with a spider web painted on top. You secure  the screen over your drink with a rubber band.Flys hate it and will stay away. This, however doesn't work with anteaters, aardvarks and the like. Intravenous drinking is also a possibility. On a proper poll, people think you're really sick instead of a drunk.
