Question:

How do you stop getting anxious?

I am a sophmore in college and ever since i graduated highschool i get anxious about everything. When i am about to meet new people I get anxiety really bad, but it's not just a social thing. Anything from making sure that my work is done on time to going to the doctor's makes me anxious. I do not want to take any medications are there any other ways to deal with it?

    I have been a sufferer for 12-years and am doing well. My blog is dedicated to help. I will be updating my blog every 5-7 days on new ways to cope anxiety. I have just made few good entries on coping - I hope it will help you.

    I started out taking prozac 20mg daily.. then it dropped to 10mg and now I am just taking 5mg and still doing very well. I might be considering taking medication off my life.

    And most importantly, I am here to help you because I know how it feels to have anxiety or panic attacks.

  3. My anixety started up in college too! I try to focus on things that are going on presently like talking with someone or doing homework instead of looking internally (into what you're thinking). I also recommend therapy, it helps you realize that lots of people deal with anxiety and it doesn't have to disrupt your whole life.

    Maybe keep a journal to get your thoughts down on paper instead of keeping them in your head.
