How do you stop ink from bleeding?

i bought a pair of really dark washed jeans and the ink has been tuning my hands blue.i wanted to know how to stop it.something with cold water i think.

If you wash it in vinegar it will set the color, and it wont come of anymore. I put a quart of vinegar in the washer and soak the clothing over night. Spin out and wash then as usual.
